Great fishing near the mossyrock dam, the landlocked coho averaged 16 in. Be sure to thread a worm on your line if you are planning to use shrimp. Fish at about 3.5 feet.

First time out on this lake. My dad and I trooled up the Cowlitz, and saw two slamon jump. One was clear out of the water. Caught a 15lb springer on the third bend or so. Gold spoon with red beads....

Got my canoe on Scanewa about 3PM. Surface temp in the "Cowlitz" portion of lake was pretty consistent at about 57F. Once you got into the "Cispus flow" portion of the lake temps dropped to about 53...

For an opening day not so good.Water was a chilly 50 deg with no more than 12 in. visibility. High water and very muddy. Don't know what the snow melt is going to do here.Better luck next time.
