Gummy Worms

Post by Trent Hale » Mon Jun 16, 2008 8:28 pm

A few years back I took my girls out fishing. Loaded every thing in the truck and headed to Robbins Lk. When we arrive there I knew what I had left behind THE BAIT well thinking fast I looked through the snaks and pulled out the Gummy Worms candy and hooked it and in a few mins my daugther had caught her first trout and we caught our limit in just 3-4 hours they were happy to take home some fish. The gummy worms last for a long time and they did catch fish so if in a pinch and have some gummy candy give it a try it helped me in a tight spot!
Are you hung up again!

Those are way cheaper than Yamamoto Senkos, think you'd be able to pull it past a bass?

that's awesome!!!! I love it. I'll have to add gummy worms to my already over crowded tackle box!

And unlike Gary Yamamoto's products, if you get a little hungry while fishing you can always munch on your worms :D

Granted, them senkos do look a little tasty sometimes....

What do you mean unlike Gary Yamamoto's products? I eat my plastics all the time. A little Smelly Jelly and a bottle of water and you have yourself a meal.

That's way cool,..so I went to my "Secret Lake" last weekend and was after some Big holdovers of RBT,..usually a bobber and some bread and you can land some very nice RBT,..but the 4th spooked all the fish so I enjoyed the evening and woke with the birds to fish the AM,..the bread wasn't working but I could see all the fish in very shallow water,..they were surfacing and hitting bugs,..so I thought to my self,..if I could keep something on the top these guys would take it,..not having any Flies I put a Chartruse Power Bait on my hook weightless and tossed it out there about 20 feet,..then I thought,..I need to make a bit of noise,..so w/o reeling up I pulled out my line and tossed it to the other side of the dock,..then again back,..kinda like Flyfishing,..the results were amazing to say the least,..I caught my limit w/in 30 mins,..all were 2.5 lbs or bigger the biggest being 4 lbs,..just thought I'd mention that because I looked like a total idiot,..but hey it worked,..LOL!

Whats funny is just today I was packing my son up to leave for Boy Scout Camp next weekend and he was telling me that he needed gummy worms. He told me that's what a lot of the boys there use to catch trout in the lake at camp. How funny!!!!

Nice weather:sunny: we've been having..
