Yep, this season is starting tougher than last year, and last year was a tough one all around... Hoping for a better return this year but its not looking great so far

I would take a dark summer run or fall fish right now, its super slow in most places. That's a nice little one primetime

Re: Winter Steelhead 2013/2014
Been getting a few cookie cutters in the 25-27" range while backing bait divers down some of my favorite runs. Its been so cold the fish don't want to move much and putting something in front of their nose can help when it comes to getting bit.
One of the bonus's while out Steelie fishing....
Got Quack?

Alright, I'm able to contribute! It's a 25" cutout, but my 1st of the season, so I'm more than happy . Got it yesterday afternoon float/jig.

Re: Winter Steelhead 2013/2014
Ran the sled today and had an epic day. Put the hurt on 30+ coho. Some seriously chrome for december, although we were looking for darker hens to keep for roe, we released soms beautiful ones... kind of amazing. Also took a beautiful large hatchery steelhead.
