wanted left handed trolling reel
wanted left handed trolling reel
I have had my Penn 321 GTI ( 4 years ) and my Okuma Convector 30 DLX ( 10 years ) and both reels crapped out on me this year..... I thought I would see if anyone is looking at getting rid of any?..... would look at 6001 series Abu's also..... just thought I would try here before buying a new one.....
Re: wanted left handed trolling reel
Have a look at the Abu Kalex 61. I purchased 2 as I like having a spare with me, just in case. I've got 300 yards of 35lb braid spooled on it and has served me well for the past two years on the Sound. If I didn't like it so much I'd offer the second one to you, but I think I'll be picking up a second rod to pair it with instead.

I was the same way with my Okuma convector..... I bought 2 of them originally and gave one to my best friend.... his just died this year also after 10 yrs..... Better than my Penn any day of the week...... we fish every weekend and sometimes 2-3 days a week during summer and in winter for black mouth and never had an issue till this year.... i may just go buy a couple more convectors.... i may look at the UK versions.... they look pretty good and solid... a little more sleek than the US versions....

Re: wanted left handed trolling reel
I have two 6301 C3's I thought I would use for jigging. Both have been out at most two times (I think one only once) and would be willing to part with them as they are sitting on a shelf in their boxes. Would love to find them a new home.
