Tyler that fish wasnt out of the private lake i had planned on hitting. It was another public king county lake.

This weekend I went out to a lake I used to fish growing up near Bellingham and found quite a few largemouth. Biggest weighed in at just under five pounds. It was a little hard to take that photo because I was fishing alone that morning.

Aug. is even better for me.
July is fine also. Not to many problems catching good fish, altho last year I had many problems keeping the big fish on the hook.
Am getting ready to head out soon.

I'm going to a different rod tomorrow. I lost 3 big ones today on two different rods, and two different lures - rattle trap on a Bill Lewis Rattle Trap rod, and Rapala jointed minnow on a dropshot rod, but they have about the same action, so I'm going to try my Dobyns SS 693 SF rod, it's stiffer, ta heck with that 'limber tip/rod' stuff for crankbaits, I want some backbone. Limber tip = yes, limber blank =NO! I'm going back to what I used years ago and still use for the 10 foot diver cranks. The Dobyns rods have worked great for me with senkos, spinnerbait, and Fish-n-Fool lures since I bought them 3 or so weeks ago. So I'm going to be getting a third Dobyns Rod next week after payday.

Dude, I'm in Belfair too. I knew Sounguru was and we haven't met up yet...that's my fault. Lots of lakes around here. We'll all have to get together sometime.
