We launched the boat at the public launch on the SW corner of the lake around 10am. Once we had the kicker motor running, we trolled with 2 downriggers and a long line in the center of the stern. We experimented with different depths, OG1 lures, and attractors until we began having consistent success with a 2.44" orange-perch OG1 below a Luhr-Jensen Bolo FlexiTroll. This setup accounted for four rainbows. On the other downrigger, we took a nice cutthroat on a 2.44" OG1 in fluorescent green with a pink tail. (All but one fish were taken on the downrigger. We did have a decent rainbow take a 2.44" OG1 in black with fluorescent green tail on the center rod.)
We finished the day with four rainbows and a nice cutthroat.
The fish seemed to be scattered around the entire lake. And, the action was intermittent. But, that said, the last 'bow was a toad that put up a serious fight. And, it made our day!
