Sprague Lake (1,840 acres): This large year-round lake, shared by Adams (1,203 acres) and Lincoln (637 acres) counties, offers a variety of fishing opportunities. Rainbow trout plants show in creels. Smallmouth and largemouth bass fishing is also good, and the bluegill that were planted originally as a forage base for the bass provide good sport. Walleye are also prominent catches. There are special regulations on this lake, so be sure to check the regulations pamphlet for all details. Two resorts are available, one on the north end, the other on the south. Two private boat launches with minimal parking fees are located on the east side. WDFW continues to work on development of a public access site on acquired land, which will provide disabled access when done.
