Started b/4 8:00 with a trip to the coves on the east side - must have been a recent plant of 8-9" hatchery trout cuz that's all we could catch - moved across to the west side for trolling and headed north along the wall - lure of the day for browns were multiple blades followed by a 4' leader with macks wedding ring and a worm. The browns showed no internal sign of pre spawn and all had empty stomachs. Water at the S end was 40f and north end was 38f - clarity was very very poor - only about 1 1/2-2'. Wind came up a little after 10:00, then it would drop and then come a little stronger, kept that up until we couldn't control the boat with the trolling motor. Water level is very full - launch and retrieve was not a problem -- there were several in the 18-20' range that had no problems at all. Just before the "ranch house" about 2/3 of the way to the north end we saw a lot of fish stacked up in the 80-120' depth and that lasted for about 1/2 mile. Off the water with everybody else between 2:30-3:00. Fish that hit set the hook themselves - hit real hard. Will get better as it gets warmer. Catch depth 30' +/- 5'.
