As usual at launch time wind was 13-14mph from the N, complete with foam and whitecaps - made going to the north end
cool in an open boat. All the recent plants have migrated to the north end around incoming Pine creek - couldn't find
the browns or larger 'bows that were there last week. Color was yellow after experimenting with a few others. Couldn't
get out of the dinks, so fished them for a while hoping to pick up a larger one - two doz worms later switched to a dark
motor oil colored gulp grub with either corn yellow powerbait or berkeley gulp yellow salmon eggs on the stinger hook
and we couldn't keep them off the hook long enough to hook a larger one. We finally headed down the lake along the
west wall to chase some larger ones, but that idea was short lived when the iPilot pad battery died and the gas 2stroke
wasn't hitting on all four - time to call the game over. Launch ramp appears to have seen some recent addition of some
gravel - was very crowded though with at least three coming and three going at all times and the bank fishermen were
trying to fish in the launch area so they were PO'd - wind did die down, also as usual, about 9:00 and the cold wx gear
started being shed - nice day on the water and fun catching - no keeping though. We tried all depths too - from 10' down
to 60' - still all dinks - next april they ought to be keeping size - see ya then kids.
