Arrived at Langus at 5:30 and fished the last bit of the incoming tide from the fishing pier. Like other people have reported, the best timing right now seems to be the one hour after high tide. I started seeing large schools of pinks cruise under the pier during that time. Hooked one then too (pink jig with a pink squid skirt, shrimp scent). Lost it right at the shore. Was probably a 3-4 pound fish, but I am seeing and have hooked into much larger. Bringing a pier net going forward, as I have lost the last two this season trying to work them to shore to land with a normal net.
