The Snohomish River system is the "freeway" that branches into the Skykomish and Snoqualmie rivers. As such, it feeds these rivers with early runs of salmon. Anglers can catch chinook, coho, chum, and pink salmon in the Snohomish. As well as fish for sturgeon in the sloughs of the river. It's big and deep, with tidal influences that can leave launch locations high and muddy, so check tides before you launch. There are various locations to bank fish along the river.
