It started off as a rough morning. Trolled for over an hour without a single bite. Worse, I snagged not only once but twice resulting in the loss of my favorite lure. Was about to give up when I hooked up with a 10" rainbow. Spent another half hour without a bite. Was thinking of calling it quits when my rod started to slowly bend over. Thinking I had another snag, I started to reel in the line. I noticed it felt heavy and had some resistance but was reeling in fairly easily for a snag. All of sudden, the line starts peeling off the reel. It was at this point I realized I did not have a snag. After battling the fish for what seemed like an eternity, my husband finally was able to net it. I didn't realized how big it was until it was in the boat. 23" 6 lb 4 oz rainbow. My biggest fish caught ever! Needless to say, I was very excited. Continued to fish for a couple more hours and picked up another 10", 12" and 17" 2 lb 3 oz rainbow for the smoker.
