Arrived very early at Silver lake and found a very full lake; this is the highest I've ever seen this lake. Clear sky's and calm for the most part, only a bit of wind later in the morning. I figured it would be a little bit tough to find a tiger after a very busy weekend of boaters and fishermen. Went to my tried and true spots and had some follows, which is always nice. Changed baits and convinced a follow to become a bite and landed a nice lower 30" fish.
My oldest son had another follow a bit farther down the lake that took a jointed rapala in a figure eighth. That fish took a flying leap and tossed the hooks. It was pretty cool. I had another nice fish swing and miss at a top water lure as well before we headed out at 11:00. That was a swimbait I was popping on top, over weeds. Water temps were 67-70.

Tigers are certainly worth being on your list. Finding a nice fish is pretty good bet on Silver. Just make sure to tie on a leader of some kind and you are in business.

That water temp. seems high to me, for this early.

The shallows are all dark bottom, the water is dark, there has been clear hot weather, she's heating up quick. Anyone else remember the clear water of May in years past? I used to sight fish Musky in the spring on this lake.
