Silver Lake is situated on the east side of the town of Medical Lake. There is a north and south end, but this info is for the south end only, see the North Silver Lake listing for that body of water. WDFW replaced the aging concrete block ramp in 2009 and the update included new launch ramps, launch dock/loading platform, and a separate fishing dock. The new launch provides for two lane launch and recovery.

Silver Lake is fairly large, has numerous species to offer anglers, and is open year round. Species found include Perch, Crappie, Bluegill, Rainbow trout, Brown trout, Largemouth bass, Tiger Muskie, and Tench. There were reports of brown bullhead in years past. WDFW currently has size and quantity limits in force for two species: Crappie - minimum 9” with a 10 fish daily limit; and Tiger Muskie – minimum 50” and a one fish daily limit. Statewide rules apply for all other species, but review the most current copy of WDFW Sportfishing Rules Pamphlet for any changes.

In addition to fishing, Silver Lake is also very popular for all kinds of water sports, swimmers, tubers, water skiers, sailboating, jet skis, and more. During warm weather, the lake can get rough from all the watercraft activity and congested too, so it’s wise to plan ahead.
Silver Lake access is convenient. From I-90 east or west bound, take the Four Lakes – Medical Lake exit and go south on SR 904 for about ¼ mile. Turn right onto to West Four Lakes – Medical Lake Road and follow this for about 3 miles. Turn left onto S. Freeman Drive to reach the WDFW access site.
