Fishing solo, I launched my small boat onto Horseshoe Lake to see if any bass wanted to play. I fished almost the entire lake without a strike. I saw only one bass cruising the shoreline - Probably only 14-15 inches. Looked for spawning nest - saw none. Pads barely showing - just the little colorful maroon colored ones and most of them were still under water. Saw a few bluegill. Several trout fishermen out but they didn't seem to be catching much. It was however a beautiful day on the water with the temps in the low 70s and very little if any wind.

You got out, that's great, so did I today. Guess I'd better post a report.

Great to read a report from you Bob. That's why they call it fishing not catching! Hahaha

Stopped by there today. Lake has changed alot since I was a kid 30years ago. Much more development and much less lilly pads.
