Kitsap County’s Horseshoe Lake is located about 9 miles south of Port Orchard. It covers 40 surface acres, reaches depths of about 20 feet and lies at an elevation of 270 feet. Fish species include rainbow trout, largemouth bass, bluegill and pumpkinseed sunfish. Some of the bass are lunkers.
Public access is provided by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife. The large access area has plenty parking space, an updated pit toilet and a concrete block boat launching ramp. Sign at access reads, “7 MPH speed limit.”
