Coho Salmon

My holes have been filled with dirty flossing snagging littering p.o.s. lately so Ive been forced to find new holes. Im not going to tell anyone where they are, or even hint about it.

Monday the 28th I went 1/4 on coho with white jigs, tuesday the 29th I limited out 3/4 on coho, blue fox and roe, today I went 1/3 on a chartreuse/purple jig. Only spent a couple hours each day.

Whoever decided it was a good idea to throw a tire in the river to fish my old spot, you are a deplorable human being and are not worthy of breathing my air. I also found a pile of bright humpies in 3ft of water with their bellies cut and eggs removed, I counted 16 bodies left there to rot in a pile... I called wdfw, whoever did that, I hope you get arrested and thrown in jail.. just disgusted with people on the river lately.. this is why I dont just openly share my hole..

I've fished that hole. Lost many jigs. There were several tires in that spot already if I recall, some in the water, some not, the tire gave marginally easier access over that deep spot. I'm limiting elsewhere now (finally) but am also disgusted by the trash around and lack of respect the river gets. I'm picking up a trash bag each time. Not seen the humpy roe situation but that's not cool at all.

Man I can live with the trash around and we cleaned up after people that doesn't care much. But catching fish and just take eggs and left the fish to rot? Not cool... Bad karma will catch up on those guys and even worse. Nice fish though, good catching.

The fact that people think its ok to throw a tire or any other trash in the river for personal gain is horrendous and whoever did it should feel ashamed of themseleves... luckily ive found new holes so I wont have to deal with that crap anymore.

This is why I spend my time in Montana and Alaska. Urban fishing, too many Crackers.

Crackers? Is that a racial slur? Or are you talking about snaggers?

Sorry to see this post Jon, pretty sad for humanoids to do such things, what a travesty,.. don't blame you at all for feeling the way you do,...

Racial Slur?? C mon Man get your mind right. Why would you assume that to be a racial slur. I,m sure Predator 1 meant that as an endearing name for the scum that like to fish but have no concern for the resource itself, the beauty of nature or other fisherman or anyone else for that matter.

A man brotha, I don't personally know you but I deal with the same shit. Share the river if you dare but never share the hole.

Im asking the guy if its a racial slur instead of assuming, which is what you just did redroostertail, I just want to be sure before I assert my opinion. Its hard to tell via text what a person means sometimes.

This is just sad. How don't people realize if we waste our salmon there won't be any left to fish for years to come. I've been to the snohomish alot this last month an the amount of shit on the banks is insane. Thanks for speaking out, tight lines jonb

The trash is a shame, and while i'm not a fan of leaving fish to rot, if they were only fishing for the eggs anyway then I'd rather them leave the carcasses at the river so the biomass can remain in the system. Those carcasses would have naturally ended up in the river anyhow and better for them to remain there. However, the shouldn't just be left on the bank, toss them in. That said, you shouldn't be fishing for the eggs only, if you aren't planning on eating it then C & R.

Kenhsiung lol.
Ebpip, yes dead humpies are good for the ecosystem, but killing and wasting boot salmon for their eggs is wrong. I think it was a case of poaching too.. ill call wdfw if I ever catch anyone doing it. Its illegal, no arguing that.

"Cracker" is a slang term for a newbie, inexperienced fisherman. Its been around a long time.

JB - Thanks for your post and reports. With all the fish you've been catching, the old timers would call you a "highliner". That's basically the opposite of 'cracker'.

Thanks for the report jonb. Sorry to hear about the ugly mess left behind at the river by people who are not considerate of others and nature.
