My buddy called me at noon and we scrambled to get up to and on the Snohomish for the afternoon high tide. We launched around 3:30 and moved around for 3 hours with only a couple bumps. Very few fish were jumping and we saw only one caught in that time frame. We started to move back towards the launch fully expecting the walk of shame but decided to hit a spot close to shore before we quit. I got a bump on my first cast and thought, could this be the start of something better. Sure enough, we started hooking fish right and left. I got my four and my buddy got two and we missed several others. This all happened as the sun went down and the tide was moving back out. We assume it just took the new fish a while to get up to where we were fishing. When we pulled out we only heard of boats getting one or two so we just hit the right spot at the right time. 5 hens and 1 buck. Tight lines to all!!
