Cool! OK, I have a question...are you fishing the access with the obvious large gravel parking area that's on the south side of the road? I went there and went ot the gate and noted the no trespassing sign and members only. However, it is a very old sign and later on, I learned about a new park being created. It's not clear if this is the approach for that new park/access.

Yeah I was wondering if there is good access around that area as well. I commute over the 9 bridge everyday.
Yesterday around 3:45 tide seemed decently high and I saw fish jumping out there, as well as this morning around 6:30.
Tight Lines!

It's a pull off if your coming from Everett it's on your left snohomish on your right big sign with a big gravel road just park and walk down its a big sand bar in there on low tide lots of people at times but plenty of space to fish at least on weekdays for sure u want to bring a pair of shorts or waiters so you can walk out alittle bit

Thanks! I've had a rough season with only one fish so far and that was on the west side of Whidbey (should’ve limited, but friend netting didn’t know how/had a few too many drinks to net properly). Fished Rotary Park earlier this week at sunset/high tide with no luck, as well as both sides near 522 yesterday evening with no luck. Tossed Dick Nites (my usual go to) and some pink jigs. I’ve noticed a lot of algae/seaweed on the bottom of the river this year which causes the dick nite not to flutter correctly. As for jigs, I haven’t fished them in years so I’m not sure if I’m twitching it correctly. Last pink season I was limiting out every time in a couple hours.

Well there's fish in but not the mass numbers yet probably the beginning of September or a couple more good days of rain I mean there's schools in but it's not boiling yet so with the jig just jig it slow let the current drag it alittle before you reel slow and jig without trying to snag of course hope that helps
