Once again fished just above Thomas' Eddy this morning 7 hours, from 5 to noon. I got my limit at like 10:15, so I waited for my dad to catch his, he never did he only got one. Two hens, three bucks. The fish coming in from the schools are mostly hens, while the holding fish are mostly bucks. Also the hens are brighter than the bucks. I think all that rain this morning will do wonders for the fishing tomorrow. Pink blizzard jigs (knockoff buzz bombs) were the trick. Does anyone know if you can catch any realese after keeping your limit. Or how about if your fishing with another person and you help reach the total 8 after catching your limit of 4. Is any of that legal?
Tight lines!

I think that's only legal in a boat. Once you punch your limit for the day you're done.

Actually checked the regs and you can't catch another persons limit or part of a limit. Not even in a boat. Also you can't catch and release after you've caught your limit.

Nothing in the rules says you have to keep your first four. Once you have three keep releasing until you are ready to call it quits then bonk number four

Yep, I usually will catch my first 2 and hope to catch the rest of my limit on kings or silvers.

Nimmun, you're correct. There are certain occasions where you can keep deploying gear until all the limits of the boat have been caught. one example of this was Baker Lake Sockeye this year. But that's usually stated on that particular area or emergency rule updates. Remember, if it's not listed on the area, general state rules will apply. I commend you for your concern about doing what's right. Tight Lines!

You CANNOT catch for or give to another person. You must stop fishing after you retain your limit
