First report here in what seems like forever. I hope everyone on the site is doing well. My buddy Dan and I were on the water at first light and headed up stream in the fog. Decided to start trolling downstream from the first power lines running a green spatter back Dick Nite.

I had a very hard strike right off the bat which shocked me and I had him on for about 20 seconds before he jumped and spit the hook. We continued for about an hour when we came across two very nice guys in a boat with 2 on their stringer. They told me what they were using and I happened to have it so on it went.

From there I had 3 very hard strikes in about 5 minutes missing all three while holding my rod so I set it in the holder and it went off again this time the fish hooked himself and was in the net a few minutes later. My next two came about 45 minutes later further up stream, one right after the other. I missed a total of 7 hard strikes where I had them on but quickly lost em but thankfully I was able to limit. My buddy Dan was running something similar to “the lure” and had no strikes. By 10:30 the bite was over for us and we quit at noon. I will be back for more very soon.
