Hit the Snohomish at Bob Heirman Wildlife Preserve at Thomas' Eddy about noon.
I have been fishing for coho but with the river so low I figuered I would play with the steelhead instead.
Very first cast on new rod, using a purple spinner with a pink power bait worm. Nailed a steel head. At first I thought it was just a pink hen till it took off down river. Played with it a few minutes then as i brought it in I saw it was a native when i went to release it it spit the hook and swam away.
Fished the whole lower half of the park walking up and down the bank till 1530. Only saw 5 other bankies and 12 boaters. No fish caught. Still alot of spawning and zombie pinks out there.
