I got to the Snohomish River about 1 /2 mile south of Hwy 9 Bridge around 6am. I fished solely from the banks. The tide was out and just starting to come in when I got there. I fished from 6am till 10am. I used 1/4 oz. Buzz Bomb and a gamakatsu size 8 octopus hook with a piece a pink cured sand shrimp tied to it. I went 4/6; I lost one that jumped off the hook and one to a faulty knot. I had people coming up to me the whole time trying to figure out what I was using, it was quite comical since this was only my second time Humpie fishing. I only saw a hand full of people around me catching fish so it made me feel pretty good to have such a great day. I ended up selling my last Buzz Bomb (lost one to the bad knot) to the guy next to me as I was leaving because he really wanted to limit out too. All in all this was an awesome day on the river... I found that when I saw the fish begin to jump and rollover to just start casting repeatedly as that is the time to catch. I caught one right at the beginning of a school coming through, so I quickly cut his gills and bled him out, marked my card and then cast out and caught another on the first cast back out…What a day, I’m hooked!

Wow, that's great! Those fish are still pretty bright. I never thought to use buzzbombs that far upriver but it sounds like you found the secret. for fishing from shore. We're you 1/2 mile upstream or downstream of the Highway 9 bridge?

@oldguygox... I was 1/2 Mile down stream off the Lowell-Snohomish River Road. All the fish I saw that day were still very bright. I was expecting to see them more beat up but was quite surprised to see how well they looked.
