Decided to head out on Labor day and brave the crowds and see if I can hook into some Pinks. My original plan was to go to Thomas Eddy but at 5:30A there were already more people there than the parking lot and street could handle. So I drove up to a spot about 3/4 a mile north of hwy 9 along with about 100 new friends. Walked my way downstream until got to the end of the line (funny, for the salmon, it's the front of the line) and waded in. Started casting probably about 6:15A

I was using a pink jig with a pink hoochie attached to it. I did really well 2 years ago with a jig over at the eddy, so I figured I'd try it again. Everyone else around me were using buzz bombs. I guess they are similar lures really. About an hour into it I hooked into the first fish. Good sized fish with a battle wound on the side of it. About an hour and a half later I hooked into the second fish (pic attached). Decent sized pink, about par from what I've seen. Sorry, the picture is a bit blury, water and cellphones don't mix well, so its in a bag.

Over all an OK day at that spot for pinks. Someone said that there were tons of fish there, but obviously moved up stream. Not a ton of fish being pulled in, lots of guys got skunked.
