Ah, much better! Bob Johansen and I fished from around 10am to 2ish. The rains had stopped and conditions were much better. We motored over to a small cove and started flipping jigs with worm trailers. In short order the hook-ups came. Bigger fish than at Phillips lake. Nice 2 pounders and then we each nailed fish in the three pound, 17 inch range. Bob lost a great fish on a rapalla. We worked the docks and shoreline till 2 and called it a day. Must have caught a half dozen or so. It was only toward the end of the day that Bob mentioned he had felt kinda nervous about how the fishing was going to be. It was very good, I thought, and he agreed. I sure am lucky to have fished with one of our state’s most knowledgeable bass anglers. Bob told me he has fished over 400 lakes in our state. Now there’s a goal to try to match! Thanks for a great day on the water Bob!
