Got to the River about 3pm, Buddy hooked up 1st cast then lost it 1/2 way in.tried several different spots, no takers. Heading in ran into a pool of jumpers about 6:15 pm. Wow we must have released 35 fish in the next hour, had one leap into the boat! Played till worn out... Yet another great day on the snoho !!!

It was slow for us as well, 1 fish played between 3:30 pm & 6:30 pm, and that was 1st cast, We spent the next 3 hrs looking for fish that were biting. when you find a school of jumpers, stop, drop & cast, small jigging motions, not giant leaps just a slow wiggle back, like a hopping tree frog, 6 inch jumps. Use a small crapie jig, 1/8 to 1/3 oz head, add pink mini squid, 24 in. of 8-12 pd leader ( we use Maxima ) & toss up river, let sink to a count of 5 to 10 depending on water depth, and twitch in!! ( we hit that particular school just downriver a couple of turns past the Hwy 9 bridge )
Good luck & tight lines...................................................Steelheadrod
