We launched at Langus Park around 6:00 this morning and headed up the Snohomish River to the Snohomish area. We fished above Snohomish through the morning hours and caught numerous fish, keeping only four of the nicer fish. Through the afternoon we moved downstream and fished numerous spots below Snohomish. Again the bite was on and we wacked quite a few fish. We were being very selective and kept an additional four fish to make our limits of 3 to 5 pound fish. We did not count the fish released but there were enough of them that we lost track of exactly how many.
Although we caught one fish on a Buzz Bomb, typically we were fishing pink jigs. I would anchor on the outside of the deeper slots and we would cast towards the bank. We caught fish on both the out going and the flood tides. There was no specific depth although we tried to target the meter marks. It was a banner day on the water; great fish’n and as far as catching goes…it was all the fish you wanted.
