got out this morning about 6:30 and like 10 minutes later had one hooked but lost it. about 3 hours later and a couple more missed fish my little 8 year old brother hooks his first salmon a nice chrome 4.5 # pound hen pink that with a bit of coaching by me he landed. then he had one on for a good while before it got off then hooked another one about an hour later and did everything all by himself except for the net which i was good at today. i never landed a fish today and he got 2. lucky dog im glad he got them though. we'll be back out tomorrow

where on the snohomish were you fishing? what was the tide like?

i was past where ebey slough comes into the river. the tide was coming in when we got there for an hour then went out till about 20 minutes before we left. caught both fish on outgoing tide but lost a couple on incoming tide. i don't think the tide really matters just matters if theres a school of fish or not there.

I bet you have a future salmon slayer on your hands. Did you get pics of your brother w/ his fish.

no i didn't get any pictures i was to busy trying to instruct him on landing the fish and netting his fish but my mom took pictures when we got home it was awesome
