Started the day out at Reiter with my friend. Water was very clear we were the first ones up there and started fishing once you could see. There was around 30 others there and when we left at 1030 there was probably 10. We only heard of one fish hooked up. We then went to the wallace hatchery and a guy had a 4 or 5 pound dark hatchery fish. We started fishing the may creek hole. Nothing. We moved to the slug hole and fished there for a couple more hours. But still didn't land one. There was a guy that landed a nice chrome 6 pound hatchery fish but he was to up tight to tell us anything about were or what he was using to catch it. We saw one dark coho roll and that was it. The wallace was about average flow maybe a little up and had around 2 feet visibility. Hopefully with the rain coming this week it will bring in more fish.

There won't be many more fish coming with the rain. The Snohomish system's hatchery program is failing badly, there was a day when in December or January if the Snoqualmie or Skykomish were in shape and you knew what you were doing you would catch fish. I've been fishing that system since 1972 and Drift boating it since 1984 and I'm telling you that Winter run ain't worth the time anymore. All of our fees for licenses both Hunting and Fishing are being put into the states general fund.
