Headed out to the Snohomish river at Thomas Eddy a little after 1. The river flow was high so I went to the north end of the park and started casting my wee sized Dick Nite. Moved downriver a bit after about 30 minutes. A boat pulled up right in front of me casting about 20 feet from me. I could have hit his boat if I wanted to. Instead, I casted just behind him and we didn't get tangled up on eachother. One of the guys on the boat landed a nice looking silver within the first 20 minutes. I switched to a Yellow DN and moved downstream a bit. Hooked onto 2 fish before I left, couldn't land either of them.
It started cloudy, but the sun came out and warmed up a bit. As I said, the river was flowing high due to all the rain. The water was somewhat off colored, but not too cloudy. Left at 3. It was fun, not quite as stinky as it has been. Hopefully the rain will wash some of the salmon downstream.
