My friends and I decided to head out to the river before work. We went south of the city of Snohomish to where the river isn't affected by the tide surge. We got there around 6:15A and walked down to the shore. The river is high because of all of the rain we've had, so we couldn't fish from the regular spots since they were all underwater. We headed to a place that is normally above water and there was a nice big pool where all the fish were jumping.
I started throwing a chartreuse spinner because the water was kind of dirty. I still don't know the correct way to rig it, so I didn't get anything. I switched to a 50/50 Dick Nite and about 20 minutes later landed a hooknose humpy. Let him loose to continue spawning. It started to rain around 8A, so we packed up and headed out.
There were a couple of boats plus a couple of other guys on the shore. Not too crowded, but a few more and it would have been. Still looking for the Silvers, but I don't think I'll get them without more time on the river.
