My wife has been pretty understanding. I keep telling her Sprague is going to freeze over soon so I only have 1 or 2 trips left until ice keeps me home. Al and I made our third trip there this week. I decided to bring the top today and was glad when the temp was 23 as we pulled into the launch. We were in sunshine as lines were in the water at 7:45.

Rippin minnows and perch Kekeda flies were offered and quickly accepted. Water temps ranged from 37-40 and the fish remained feisty with many leaps. Pink rippin minnows were the best producers today although the flies took a good number. We ended up with 25 boated fish today with most around 18". We had 4 doubles today and had a couple hogs that required putting the boat into neutral in order to get them to the boat.

The ice will be there quickly, at least I sticking to that story, but hope to get another trip or 2 in. Another great day on the water!

Size of fish caught are amazing! When fishindoc said " as we pulled into the launch. We were in sunshine as lines....................". Of course the rest of this sentence reads "lines were in the water at 7:45". During reading, I thought that sentence would read "lines at boat ramp not to bad"! Indicating "many" were launching at that day and time......lol! Which, I would think unlikely......except for the quality fishing.

25 fish landed, what a day! Those numbers and quality of fish competes with a Darrel and Dad's Omak lake report.

Are those the Steelhead that were supposed to be stocked in Puget Sound rivers? But the idiots at the WDFW made a deal with the Native Fish Conservancy and they were stocked in various E. Washington Lakes (excuse me while I vomit!). I'm glad that somebody made good use out of them!

I asked the same question whether these were the steelhead that we have been catching. These fish do not have clipped adipose fins which the SH are supposed to have.
