I was over in Chelan for a bike event on Saturday and diced to stay the weekend to do some fishing. I only have an inflatable kayak so I didn't want to hit the big lake and after some research picked Wapato. I hit the late around 7:30 and by lunch I had a limit of 12-15" rainbows. I also caught a few more and released them, I got a few trolling my ever faithful Rapala #7 floating in rainbow pattern but decided to try a few things and started getting lots of hits and catches on a Mack Lures Flashlight followed by a black Woolley Bugger with an action disc all held down by a 1\2 oz weight and trolling about 1.2 MPH. Depth is an unscientific method of paddling at about 1.6 MPH and then opening the bail and counting to 10 and then closing it down and reducing speed. Using my ultralight gear made for fun times along who the weather being absolutely stellar. Boat launch and dock at the southeast end of the lake is fantastic and free even though it's no longer a WDFW site.
