Haven't heard a lot about Rock Lake this fall/winter, but wanted to give it a try since it's been so good this time of the year in past years. And boy did it not disappoint.

Launched at 9:30 am and watched shore fisherman catch 3 rainbows before we were in the water.
Wind was from the East which is a bit weird, so we fished some different spots trying to address where the feed would be.

From 9:30-3:00 pm, fishing was amazing! Caught mainly the planted steelhead (15-17") and rainbows (15-17"), but did manage 3 nice browns to take home. Seriously, can't even count the number of fish we caught. Fished both sides, middle, and the north creek, but it didn't seem to matter where we fished.

Great news. I have been wanting to get out to this lake to fish. May I ask what depth you were fishing? I have never fished Rock lake before and I know it can be really deep. Thanks for the report.

3-5 colors lead core. Really didn't matter, though. Marked fish early in the day, then nothing on the screen.
