My dad & I got to the lake about 10 and hit the water shortly afterwards. We trolled across the lake towards the west side, then went south. We kept to a depth around 20-40ft. We both have 2-pole endorsements. We started out with Pistol Pete's on all the poles - my colors were brown/copper and black with red tip on top - I believe my dad used a light colored one (light brown with white) and I think a black one. All were tipped with worm pieces. I had 2 fish in the boat within about 10-15 minutes and my dad had one. Both of my poles were catching fish. One time I had one on each pole at the same time. Fish were jumping around us.

In short order, I had 4 of my limit of trout and switched gears and started trying to catch a kokanee instead. I was using pink fire corn, on a pink wedding ring, behind a pink sling blade and kept catching trout! Didn't think I would be getting trout on that set-up as much as I did. Released most of the trout, but kept my limit of 5. Took my dad a little longer than me to get his limit, but we were off the lake in about an hour and a half. We had fun and will definitely be back to fish again soon.

There were a few other boats on the lake as well, but not as crowded as I expected it to me so soon after the lake opened. There were a few osprey flying around as well as a couple of bald eagles. A nice day to be on the lake.

These appeared to be holdovers as the meat was fairly pink to dark pink and not white/light inside like a freshly-planted one would be. Pan-fried some of mine last night. Tasted great!
