At a pre-dawn, air temp. of 16 F. at the house, the wife and I almost said, "No way", but after waiting for a bit; we decided to give it a try…Glad we did. Slow at first, but with the rising air temperature, I got my first bite and with some fun, I was able to bring a bright 21" rainbow to the net. I ended up with a second fish of 19" and the Wife one of 20" before some too loud noise pollution caused us to quit. A nearby angler caught four nice fish, just after I caught my first one.

T-Bone:
Hey. Good for you and your wife. Wish I was there to, but the shop still has my boat trying to get the motor running right.
It looks like I will be heading that way on the 2nd of March for a few days if the weather is good. I'm thinking about Coffeepot lake too maybe. Anyway, glad to see you two had some nice fish. Take care. Tight lines always.

Denny, an outdoor report in the Spokesman Review said that the water level at Coffeepot Lake would not allow for any boat launching on March 1. Hope the weather warms up a bit; COLD in the morning, but around 10 AM'ish it's almost bearable.

T-Bone: Thanks for the update on Coffeepot. I see they are calling for possible snow/rain over that way on Thur/Fri. maybe. I doubt it will be enough to raise the lake level high enough to be able to launch my boat there tho. I want to mainly fish Sprague anyway so I'm ok. I just hope the weather is good next week so I can get out and wet a line. I like cold mornings and then warming up during the day. It was 18 degrees at 8:00 in the morning when I was over there at the end of October in 2011. It was sunny and warm during the day tho. I'm
starting to stutter quite a bit lately for some reason. I think it's got something to do with my boat being out of comission. Still haven't heard anything about it yet.
