Hit the lake for what will probably be the last time before it closes the 30th. Rowed the tiniest boat in my navy around for a few hours catching 3 rainbows in the 13 to 14 inch range. An F3 Flatfish in what I think is the crawfish patter did the trick. Saw several Mergansers and Golden Eye ducks out there. Unaware if the WDFW planted fingerlings again this year.
The real fun was when I stopped at Minter Creek to watch the river salmon guys go at it. Got some strange looks trying to find a parking space with the boat and had to go farther up the hill by Mr. Game Warden. Never saw so many people catch each others line, rods and waders before then up above the bridge to the yellow rope. Beelow the bridge I watched a group cast into the same bushes several times. Saw no bright fish and most I saw caught weren't in the mouth.
Stopped by Donkey and Crescent Creek parks in Gig Harbor on the way home to see if i could spot any fish. 1 live Chum and several dead in each.
