It was a beautiful day...bright sun,light wind but very few feeding fish.
Saw a couple caddis flies flutter by but no hatches. Air temp was in the mid 40's.
I trolled for a couple hours with not a touch. Then talked with a fellow fly fisherman
who put me on the magic fly. "Anything yellow" I anchored along the shore and cast and stripped a Micky Finn
streamer an caught 6 cut throat and one 14" brown in a couple hours.
The gate was still open and the water is way up, into the bushes. There is no beach any more.
