Merrill Lake is located in Southwest Washington on the southwest side of Mt. St. Helens. It is a fly fishing only lake with a non-combustion engine only restriction. This is a trophy lake and all fish GREATER then 15 in. must be released. The lake is opened year round but the BLM campground is closed from Oct.-Apr. Brown and rainbow trout occupy the lake under the water with deer and osprey the main occupants above the water line.(fisherpersons excluded) Dave Asker
