My Dad & I Launched about 10am today for our last outing for the season on this lake. Weather today was cloudy and a little windy, with rain coming near the end of our outing. We trolled Pistol Pete's and Woolley buggers - both tipped with worms. Started trolling from the boat launch and headed towards the west side of the lake. Tried to stay a little deeper today, hoping for the bigger fish. My Dad caught 3 before I had my first one. Usually I am the lucky one and catch fish before he does, but today it was his turn. Most of the fish were caught in about 38-60ft of water today - many hits on speed changes - 2 to 3 and 3 to 2. We both limited, dad first, so he switched over to using some kokanee gear and caught (& released) a small kokanee. I finally caught my 4th & 5th ones during heavy downpour, so we called it a day. In cleaning the fish later at home, I noticed that one of the trout was actually a Kokanee and we didn't notice it earlier. It was about 9-10". The trout were nice looking fish today - mostly about 12" and with 2 1/2 - 3" girths again - nice dark, pink meat. Pan-fried them for dinner. It was a great day out on the lake and we look forward to next spring to get out again. Sorry - no pictures today.
