Went to Wallace River on Saturday morning with fellow member JonB, met some other forum members there .... in fact, it was 4 for 4 at the parking lot. So we all trudge down to the river and spread out and were fishing by 7. So when 10 arrived with 1 bite between the 2 of us, I'm talking to JonB and since I packed my rubber raft we decide to go to Lake Bosworth.
It turns out that JonB's posts about Bosworth were in no way hot air. The lake is boiling with trout. Fish rising, fish jumping, be it noon-ish when we started or apparently any other time of day.
Long story short, we catch trout with all manner of methods, all different speeds ... except deep ... no bites deep. Would have definitely been done sooner if we hadn't wasted pole time on 25 feet down. JonB says there are cutthroat deeper, but they were not buying what we were selling. Ended the day with each of us catching a limit. Nine rainbows and 1 kokanee total. Combined catch in picture. JonB says it was the worst fishing he's seen there this year - it took us 4 hours to catch 10 fish. By my standards that is pretty amazing. I guess I need new standards!
