My neighbor, and a Geezer Jr. has been having some severe health problems. He is scheduled for some serious surgery in a few days. He just bought a brand new boat trailer and wanted to give it a try before the surgery. We launched his boat with the new trailer onto a calm, warm morning. The weather man had promised temps into the low to mid 80. We decided to check out the bass fishing and cast an assortment of lures for about 3 hours with no action except for a few little 6 inchers following our lures but too small and lacking the will to attack. After stopping in a nice cool shady area for lunch we decided we had enough fun but would try one trolling down the lake with deep diving crank baits. Neighbor, Mike caught a frisky little fellow about 10 inches long. He was thanked and released. Remember all those tad poles that I mentioned in my May, 1st report ? Well, they are now baby frogs about 3/4 inch long and number in the hundreds at the public access area. We had to be extra careful not to step on any - or at least I hope we didn't squish any. And, remember the Alligator? Well, he is still looking good. Took another pic of him. It was a good fishing day but a slim pickin's catching day but overall a nice day on the lake. We only saw one other boat as we were leaving.
