Kitsap County’s Wye Lake is located about 8 miles SW from Port Orchard. It covers 38 surface acres, reaches depths of about 20 feet and lies at an elevation of 300 feet. Fish species include rainbow trout and largemouth bass. Public access is provided by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife. The small access area has a pit toilet, a concrete plank boat launching ramp and limited but usually adequate parking space for tow vehicles and trailers. No internal combustion engines are allowed on the lake. Bob Johansen 2009
