Hit Beaver on our way home from another lake this evening and I lost a good one and my buddy caught one right at 3lbs. There was a slight breeze and the fish came off the wind blown bank, mine on a buzzbait and my buddies on a Senko. We tried many techniques with out so much as another nibble.... weird year so far for sure? I have definitely noticed the water levels still being very high and am wondering if the bass are just way back in the junk?

Went to beaver on Saturday. Water was like glass. Fished for about 4 hours with nothing to show. Definitely been a weird year...

I used to fish that little lake quite a bit and caught some nice largemouth there. My best fish was 21 inches, 5 pounds and 11 ounces. She hit a gold Rapala on the surface on 04-13-1985. Same day as your trip but different year. I was fishing from a canoe with my oldest son. There was a bass tournament on the lake that day but we were not in it.
