Skagit County's Beaver Lake covers about 73 surface acres but has a maximum depth of only about 10 feet. Fish species include largemouth bass, black crappie, yellow perch, and a few cutthroat trout. Prime bass habitat in this stained water lake includes overhanging brush and trees and lots of pads.
Public access is provided by the Washington State Department of Fish and Wildlife. The access area usually has adquate parking space, pit toilets and a solid gravel boat launch area. The boat launch is best suited for hand carried craft but trailered boats can be launched during the early spring when the water level is at it's highest. Overview and photos by Bob Johansen
