3/25/2014 7:21:00 PMDon't let the strange conditions this year discourage you. Rock is tough from the shore at the launch anytime, and with the water having sooooo much mud this year, you were fighting a tough fight. I seriously doubt I would have done any better had I been right beside you. I also doubt that I would have used anything different, except I never use power bait for the browns, only for the bows.
Good luck next time, but Rock will need to clear for a long time. Ouch!

3/25/2014 8:39:00 PMWould you by chance have any suggestions on places to fish and what to fish them with? Some places I intend on trying that I haven't yet (only places I have tried are Rock and 4th of July Lake) are William's, West Medical, Clear, Amber, Downs, maybe Badger, and probably Fishtrap. Any suggestions for any of these lakes tackle wish or which are better or worse? Any lakes that I missed that you would suggest? I only C&R fish due to the fact that although I love fishing, I don't care for eating small fish, plus I would rather catch them again! Only exception would be Salmon (which I have never caught) and steelhead (which I have never caught any clipped fish only wilds). Also, I am limited to shore fishing unless there is a place to rent a cheap boat on the lake as in the case of Down's which I intend on trying to fish for Bass and Perch out of their $15/day rental boats. Sorry for writing so much, and thank you in advance if you are willing to share any info!
