My wife and I took out 4 of our kids and we all caught fish but they were all very tiny. They were mostly only about 3 inches long. We were using cast masters, and small silver and gold spoons with maggots or perch eyes as bate. The ice was about 7 inches thick in about 25-30 feet of water. Other people that were fishing were catching about the same size fish. Kids still had fun, but it was hard to get them on the hook and we threw almost all of them back.
