Fished from 1000-1400 in depths of 20' to 35' with an average of 4" of clear ice.
Drilled about 8 holes moving from shallow to deeper water. Fish found in every hole, but dinks abounded in 20'-25'.
Finally found the bigger perch holed up in 35' of water, although small fish were still to be found amongst the big ones.
Jigged a silver and chartreuse kastmaster tipped with an eyeball; Bite was very light.
Took home 15 bigger perch and the same number in smaller perch that couldn't swim back down, even though I took my sweet time reeling them in to ensure I could release as many of the small fish as I could.
I would have tried 40' of water, but the ice has been melting fast and I didn't feel like taking a dip.
Word of warning, somebody's been sawing blocks of ice out of the lake; They left the blocks next to the holes, but they're a good 1.5' x 1'.5 hole.
