Launched at 0500 and had the lake to myself. Started off with a buzzbait and began to work the western shoreline heading south. Caught 17 bass, 15 on the buzzbait and two on a tube. Most fish were in less than 4 ft of water, both the inside and the outside edges held fish. Largest bass was about 4 lbs, caught 3 others that were around 3 lbs and broke another one off that would have been a 4 as well. I also caught 1 tiger and missed another one on the buzzbait. The 1 I caught was right at 30 in and the 1 I missed would have been around 45 inches, maybe a little larger. I made the rookie mistake of pulling the buzzbait out of its mouth before I felt any weight. The water is very clear so I had a great view of it attempting to clobber my buzzbait. The rainy weather kept the skiers away and the water was like glass, doesn't get much better than that.
