I always like to check this lake out this time of year! The water warms quickly and the water level is high and the grass hasn't choked it out yet, great time to access some of its pigs! Not on this day however. Unleashed the arsenal on them and couldn't buy a bite....

Hey 8theB8 it seems you are the only beaver lake expert I could find. I'm going to have all of 4 hours this sunday to hit beaver and was wondering if you could give me some advice.. I have a small 14ft boat on a trailer am I going to be able to get in the lake? I know they say you can but the last time I was there it looked really cramped.

Well any help would be appreciated. Thanks again. You can Private message me or email me at tcbeaty516@gmail.com

Yes! Depending on how high on the trailer it sits?? I have a 17' on a trailer and zero problems as it sits really low on the trailer. That being said, take a long rope and some hip waders just in case and you'll be fine.

Thanks! I will make the buddy sit in it as I launch it and he can paddle it back in haha. Any go to bait or lure to use? I was going to start with a popper around the edges and then move to a black and blue or black and pumpkin jig and pig.. I know it is not very deep.

That will work. It's supposed to be raining maybe? I would try a 1/4-3/8oz buzzbait and spinnerbait around and through the pads, working my way back in to flip the reed edge. The spindly trees that grow out from the reeds require special attention, be in stealth mode when approaching those!
